Rachelle Hernandez Vice Provost for Student Affairs

Rachelle Hernandez is the Vice Provost for Student Affairs,  and is one of the executive sponsors on the Academic Advising Technology / Stellic Implementation Project. Hernandez joined the Johns Hopkins community as vice provost for student affairs in spring 2022, bringing more than 25 years of experience working in higher education. In her role as vice provost, Ms. Hernandez oversees a broad university portfolio including student life and leadership development, the Center for Social Concern, the Center for Student Successhousing and community livingdiningathletics and recreation, and student conduct, among others. Collectively, the portfolio is focused on fostering and supporting an engaged student educational experience and cultivating student connection and belonging in co-curricular and academic spaces. Through partnership and collaboration with faculty and staff across the university community, Student Affairs helps students take full advantage of all that JHU has to offer, and, importantly, supports student education, retention, and graduation outcomes.
